Like nothing else you have seen in SL, this will be a combination fashion show and role play–a living tableau. Be prepared to interact–we won’t allow you to stand by watching us walk the catwalk. We expect you to join in!
Aleksandr has called a meeting of the Family. Despite their various backgrounds, their internal tensions, their own hungers and desires, they have come together to support their leader. You are invited to walk past the assembled Family, to meet them and interact.
For two hours, we invite you into the world of Aleksandr and his vampire family: Eva, his powerful mother; Carmen, his estranged aunt; Stefan, his right hand; Siobhan, Celeste, and Xavier, the glamorous acquaintances; Dierdre, the spoiled princess; Luis and Catalina, their pirate friends; Dex, the Victorian gentleman; Adeline, the spiritualist; and Mirabel and Isabel, the haunting twins. Watch this blog for introductions to the Family…
Enjoy their presence and envelope yourself in the fashions of RFyre and RP Couture. Purchase the fashions at the show from the Family’s portraits and take with you a feeling of another world–the world of romance and drama, the world of this vampire family. Perpetually the “little brother,” Xavier has quite a story.
Xavier was a wild child of the 70s. In and out of clubs in New York AND LA, Xavier was the original glam boy, tall, thin, delicious, charming and aloof all at once. In fact, Xavier is a font of contradictions—he wears his hair black but then it’s blond, he likes girls, but he also likes boys, give him chocolate or give him vanilla.
He haunted the night like a specter, high on the energy, the heat of all the bodies pressing together, high on his own beauty. So when he went home with yet another mysterious stranger, he didn’t realize how that would change his life.
He would not be tethered if it weren’t for his sisters, Celeste and Siobhan. Their guidance, their support, keep him in line.

We’re glad Marcella’s around to lighten things.
Every family has to have an optimist, a shining flower, a feel-good aunt, and Marcella is this family’s sunshine. Who would guess, a cheerful vampire? Almost annoyingly positive, Marcella is the one to cheer the family on, to lead them in song, to suggest they all gather around and play Monopoly. She has a fresh beauty that is unusual for a vampire–her sparkling eyes and open manner belie the pain of eternal life.
Marcella found her new life in the 40s, in the midst of war torn London. Huddled in the dark in a bomb shelter, Marcella did not feel the bite that took her–she just felt the results. The change might as well have been a bomb dropping on her, changing her from the school teacher that she was into a sort of dotty aunt among cynics. So relieved to be free of pain and fear, Marcella looks for the positive in her situation and seeks only to spread happiness amidst the dark.
Marcella feels animosity towards none; however, everyone in the family feels a bit of tension about her–why does she have to be so damn happy all the time?

The twins, Mirabel and Isabel

And so there are Mirabel and Isabel, twins born on two side of the same person.
Born as identical twins, the only distinguishing factor between them is their coloring–Mirabel, while pale, has deep dark lips and eyes; Isabel is pale from head to toe.
The daughters of a small town mortician, they were conceived as the product of love between a man and his sister–a sister he did not know was related to him. As a result, their connection is preternaturally close–two sides of the same coin, two halves of the same whole. When one speaks, the other completes her thoughts.
They are not so insular as to ignore those around them. They are dedicated to the family who has adopted them, who has accepted them for who they are and who address them as they whole they are: Mirabel and Isabel, Isabel and Mirabel.

On October 3, House of RFyre presents a new kind of fashion show–a living tableau, in which visitors can meet members of the Family while they view the glorious creations of Raven Pennyfeather.
Raised in the Western US, born and bred on a farm, Theo’s introduction to the industrialized big city was quite a shock. Raised a gentleman, always a gentleman, he still has an air of looseness about him, despite the tight rules of Victorianism, from which he hails. His outlook is that of a cowboy, rules about clean living, clean thinking and clean acting like pride in one’s work, courage at times of fear, honesty and integrity.
Therefore, it’s rather ironic how he was turned. He found he could generally keep his prurient interests under control. However, one curious visit to a bordello changed his life—well, made it eternal.
He has always admired Dierdre, the way she walks fluidly through a room, the way she negotiates matters always to her advantage. He would rather be on her side than against her any day. His admiration of her is well known in the family. But he has never gotten quite close enough for her to turn him away—he would rather admire from afar.
Meet Theo at the “Audience with Aleksandr.” He will enjoy that. You will be among the Family: one of the most elite and united vampire families in this hemisphere. Introducing Catalina

On October 3, House of RFyre presents a new kind of fashion show–a living tableau, in which visitors can meet members of the Family while they view the glorious creations of Raven Pennyfeather.
Catalina, diminutive but in no way small, is Luis’ afterlife partner. She appears shy, seems quiet, but still waters run deep, and Catalina’s mind is constantly running, considering, calculating. She has lived among many packed in small quarters; she has learned to read others well. This ability on her part makes her a valued and sometimes unnerving member of the family—she always seems to understand what is going on.
Once the wife of a sea captain, she insisted on traveling with him (very unheard of in those days—a woman on board). But he knew his wife was a capable mate. By hook and crook, she became a worthy sea-farer, and traveled the world with her husband. A new sailor, recently hired, turned her. He disappeared, and the captain watched in horror as his wife died before his eyes. She awoke before being buried.
Because of her ability to “read” her family members, she is allied to them all for different reasons, empathetic to their strengths and weaknesses, motives and needs. However, Luis, her eternal captain, whom she met not long after her rebirth, is her first priority.

Luis, the Pirate

And so we meet Luis.
Luis, tall, aged by the sun, by many years at sea, by many years of long months with no land in sight punctuated by short bursts of invading other boats, fighting, and hauling loot. And then every few months the weeks of debauchery upon docking. The passage into this life occurred on one of those nights of anonymous debauchery in the late 17th century. He couldn’t even say where he had been—a pub, a whorehouse, passed out in an alley. Weathered, that’s how Luis is.
His eyes are soft, however, his heart made tender by his fellow traveler, Catalina. His love for her is as broad as the oceans, as deep as the sea. And he knows well the breadth and depth of the oceans. It is with her he wanders the lands and seas of the world, and it is her allegiances he follows.

Dierdre, what can we say about Dierdre?
She is the “princess”of the family. Often impatient, clearly spoiled, Dierdre expects that Dierdre always comes first. She is immaculately groomed, from her head to her toe, and she dresses in only the finest clothing. The picture of femininity and grace, her laughter tinkles like a thousand bells. Pale and sophisticated, Dierdre radiates a chill.
Dierdre was the daughter of a very wealthy industrialite who lived her precious youth during the 1930s. Her father considered her his little girl; her mother considered her a rival. Her father sent her to the best schools and allowed her to travel to Europe where she shopped in the finest ateliers, oblivious to the suffering of others around her. Nothing is too good for Dierdre, and she knows it.
Dierdre uses her femininity to get what she wants and one of the things she wants is to take out the competition–other women. Hers is not a sexual desire–she solely wants to surround herself with beautiful and luxurious items for their aesthetic pleasures only. She will do what she can to insure this happens. She likes Stefan and thinks he’s her best friend. (He thinks differently.) They engage in catty talk behind the scenes, preening and sharpening their talons.

And then there is Carmen.
Carmen is tall, thin, elegant, and clearly in charge of herself and her space. Her elegance is bewitching, and it attracts both men and women, though Carmen is more interested in women herself. She is very self-controlled, and this has led her to being a very dominant woman, but she dominates with carefully applied kindness and reinforcement, being beguiling and charming when she needs to be. However, her repertoire of punishment is wide and deep and woe to he who incurs her wrath.
Carmen has travelled the world. Trained as a linguist, an anthropologist, and a sociologist, Carmen has a keen understanding of the human condition and the clashes that happen between humans and vampires. Her confidence and control do not come off as arrogance–she is careful about that.
Self-control has been something that Carmen has had to learn. Having entered eternal existence very soon after Eva, she struggles with her feelings of competition with her sister and her nephew. She keeps her anger barely under wraps at time, resenting Aleks’ and Eva’s pretension and control. Those feelings are what spurred her travels—she just needed to get away. If she wrote her own book, it would be quite a novel of adventure and self-discovery.

Enter Eva.
Eva is, to all outward appearances, unconcerned with the trappings of power and place in the Family. However, she is in fact determined to ensure that *her* Family (for she feels very possessive regarding it, having been one of the First) remains untouched by the outside world and the traditions that press inward from it.
Like Aleksandr, she is one of the first, dating from 16th century England. Her speech contains only a small trace of the cockney accent she affected in life.
She is closest to Aleksander…. many whisper a bit TOO close, unseemly in any event but especially so given their position and place.
