Raven IM’d me the other day. “Harper, come over and meet Marry Eel. She is a contestant for the Miss Virtual World. We are fitting her dress.”
I teleported over and put on my translator because Merry is from Japan, and unfortunately, I speak no Japanese. Her English is FAR better but there are still gaps.
“I am going to fix this skirt,” Raven said.
“i??????????????” said the translator.
We heard back from my translator, “As for i it is the intention of correcting the skirt.”
“You look so beautiful. I hope you win!” I said.
“?????????????????” said my translator.
“Way it does, beautiful! I expecting victory!” spit back Raven’s translator.
Merry smiled sweetly. “I like this dress. I look beautiful. Thank you!”
Merry wore the dress and went on to be a Top 10 Finalist. With its full purple skirt and beautifully rendered bodice, elaborate textures and satiny opera-length gloves, elegantly twisted waistband with draping scarves, the dress is the color of the royalty who wears it–Marry.
